Big Boys Toys

You can tell the locals around town - the women are tall, and glide along the riva, the men are taller and probably wouldn't be seen carrying a pink blowup flamingo..

And then there are the tourists. I wonder if there is a sign on the blow up toys (pink flamingos, lilos etc) which says 'use strictly under adult supervision', because it seems that these guys are taking this literally, it's so often the men carrying these, lying on them struggling along the path to Nugal with them. Honestly, someone needs to tell them, these things were designed for children, just don't do it - new catchphrase - 'they are just catching up'.

We talked about town priorities today - lots of nailbars, hairdressers, automat klubs (gambolling), and a large amount of sunglass shops. The beautiful young women are incredibly well turned out.

This week is Jazz Week in town and each night features a different band or artist - last night we went to see a band with a local woman singing,  huge amount of energy on the stage, and the square was crowded. What I love about music in the square is the acoustics echoing around the buildings, but then walk down the next street and it's silent again. Leave the square and wander along Kalalarga and you are in a different silent world, just the soft murmuring of people dining and the orange light. It's beautiful.
