Morning Wandering

I wandered down to the sea this morning at 7am - thinking maybe I would see the rowers, and the temperature was a bit cooler. No rowing this morning but Zelko was there (he rowed for Croatia Back In The Day), he'd been out in a single.

He showed me the recent renovations in the club (not finished, run out of money). First question again 'when did you arrive' and then 'you look in good condition, no kilos'. Always makes me think of a used car.

The light was beautiful, a few hardy souls out running, a few walking. I followed the track around Sveti Petar, past the old church, the path where people have decided it is a bridge in Paris and have added padlocks swearing eternal love to each other, past the statue of Sveti Petar, and into the harbour.

Cheapest coffee in town at Arbun which is a working mans cafe. Good coffee accompanied by lots of cigarette smoke, but I like going there. It's usually filled with older men, just shooting the breeze. Their conversation is often filled with numbers, dates.

I noticed this excursion being advertised (it's a safari) and just may go in the next few days so that I can let you know what the 'activities' are. In the meantime, have a guess and send me your thoughts!
